Dinner cost is $20, $10 for students. If you can't make it for dinner, come anyway for the presentation is free. Non-members are always welcome.

NDE of Composites

Composites usage has increased over the years to an all time high. New aerospace programs have introduced a need for more inspection process and equipment.

Composite inspection is not just for Aerospace any more. Other manufacturers are moving to these materials to save weight and gain strengths achievable with these materials.

Inspection of laminate- and bonded-composite structures, and their NDE methods will be discussed.

John Register is the President of R-CON NDT Inc. an NDE sales, training and consulting company out of Menomonie, WI.

After graduating from Hutchinson Technical Institute, John worked at General Inspection Laboratories in L.A. as an NDE Technician. John then went to work for Northrop Grumman as an NDE Specialist. John’s composite experience comes from working at Northrop in support of the B-2 Bomber and other aircraft.

John started R-Con NDT in 1993 as a small business. He incorporated in 1995.

R-Con NDT works with all areas of NDE with most industries, and ET of composites. R-Con NDE offers courses on NDE of composites and bond testing.
