Fermilab NUMI Project

by Kris Anderson
Fermilab
Batavia, IL

Kris will discuss fabricating techniques and Inspection used to verify the quality of components used in the NUMI Project. These special techniques were required due to the high voltage requirements and special fabrication needs for the NUMI horn.

The NUMI horn is used for directing particle beams toward targets.

This work is being done to explore the nature of matter. This particular experiment is used for studying neutinos.
