Ray Momsen is an ASNT Level III Test Specialist in Exponent’s Mechanical Engineering and Materials/Metallurgy practice. He is responsible for development of test protocols for failure analysis. He also coordinates NDE field inspections for these projects.
Ray has background in NDE, QA & QC, mechanical testing, spectrographic oil analysis, lab operations, and OSHA-related and radiation safety. Momsen has worked in aerospace, automotive, construction, nuclear and fossil power, electronics, heavy manufacturing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and rail transportation industries.
As District and Technical Manager for U.S. Inspection, Ray opened USI’s first Chicagoland office. He was also employed at Conam Inspection, holding various positions in lab management, field operations, technical sales, and marketing.
An ASNT Level III for over 20 years, Momsen is a graduate of the NDE program at Moraine Valley.
