Positive Metal Identification
Using X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Sean’s discussion will focus on a method of NDE that uses hand-held X-Ray Fluorescence technology for qualitative analysis. This technology is designed to rapidly identify material composition of metals and light elemental alloys.

Comparisons will be made with permanent chem-lab metal analyzers (quantative analysis), and PMI competitors and complements like AAS, COMB, GDS, ICP, OES & others.

Attendees are encouraged to bring in samples for testing.

Speaker Biography

Sean currently works at Raeco as a Sales Engineer.

He serves as a board member for the Chicago Industrial Hygiene Association, and has extensive experience in PMI.

Sean graduated with a BS in Industrial Hygiene from Purdue.
